Seoul Day 2

Top of Mt. Namsan. Somewhere in the background is a Cold Stone Creamery

The subway stations are clean, and they don't have people peeing in the corners.

Not that i was surprised to see a Red Mango, but I dorked out a bit anyway
I thought I would sleep in today but that didn't happen--so much for jet lag--not that I'm complaining or nuthin'.  I got up had breakest, "konnichi-wa'd" the cool japanese people from the hostel, and took off to walk around in the immediate area around Hongik University in Hongdae.  I totally left my camera memory card stuck in the slot in my computer though :(.  I found out because my computer the sound equivalent of a from when I tried to take a picture.  Oh well.  I'll try not to forget next time.

I hung out at the hostel for a bit in the afternoon, studied some maps and stuff.  We took a mini adventure to visit this building that the hostel was thinking about acquiring as a second hostel:

At night I went to Mt. Namsan in the evening with this guy from Germany, Alex.  It was pretty cool.  It was massive, the underside looked like core sample from a Star Destroyer.  There was a trailer that you could take--paved, but surrounded by wilderness.  Also there were little stops along the way with exercise equipment.  Not just pull up bars, but bench presses too.  At the base of the tower there was an area to look out at the city at where people chain locks with messages to loved ones.  I liked it because it was artful, genuine, and many of the charms looked like they belonged in a cereal box.

there is a gross spider somewhere in there. The thumbnail is too small but im posting it anyway
